The new photos show Damien very much centre stage alongside Olivia Vinall as the two lead cast. The pair are joined by Anthony Calf (Jerry), Jonathan Coy (Leo), Vera Chok (Bo), Lucy Robinson (Ursula), Rosie Hilal (Julia) and Parth Thakerar (Amal).

The play’s main focus is on a young psychology researcher at a brainscience institute (Hilary) who is grappling with the ‘hard problem’ of consciousness. In the process she finds herself at odds with her colleagues who include her first mentor Spike, her boss Leo and the billionaire founder of the institute, Jerry.

The Hard Problem opened for previews last week, with a string of press nights beginning on the official world premiere tomorrow. After tickets selling out completely in just two days, the production has been extended into May.

Damien can also be seen in cinemas across the world when the play is broadcast with National Theatre Live on 16 April 2015 .
